Antifungal Regimen

Did you know that many people who start an antifungal regimen begin feeling so much better,

that they keep taking the supplements as a normal part of their daily supplement program?

I used to think people would take antifungals for a while, see results, and only take them again if they had symptoms pop up.

Boy, was I wrong.

I get calls from people all the time that saw Doug's show, and started eating better and rotating antifungals. Once they began feeling better, they were so worried they'd backslide, that they wanted to prevent the fungus from returning ever again. I don't blame them for feeling that way. Sometimes we've been sick for so long, we forget what it feels like to be healthy, and when we get it back, we want it to stay.

Another reason people tend to stick with antifungal supplements, is because life just gets in the way sometimes. We travel, we eat out if we're in a hurry, or we just want to splurge with dessert once in a while. Keeping a rotating set of antifungals may be the smartest thing we can do to maintain health.

The full regimen I would start with includes a good multi-vitamin/mineral supplement. It would have to include probiotics, too. Probiotics do so much, including help deal with yeast. Some newer strains like Reuteri, Rhamnosus, and Planterum have crazy names but incredible results. Each of these have been shown to create an inhospitable environment for simple candida all the way up to the cancer-causing aflatoxin. I take these along with acidophilus and bifidus everyday.

I like to rotate through nutritional antifungals like apple cider vinegar and garlic. These have been around a long time, and they're just foods that happen to fight fungus.

I also love caprylic acid, which comes from the coconut; olive leaf extract; and grapefruit seed extract. Lesser known nutrients include Undecylenic acid, which is a powerful fatty acid that inhibits yeast from growing, and neem, which is an antifungal plant and is also useful as a digestive aid.

Speaking of digestion, I make sure to include a good fiber ever since Doug taught me about fiber's ability to bind to mycotoxins and get them out of the body.
