Blood Sugar Control

Did you know that blood sugar control could be as simple as going to your spice rack?

Too many people have an opportunity to control their blood sugar naturally but are reaching for prescription drugs. Maybe it's because they just do know the benefits of nutritional remedies. Maybe it's because their healthcare professionals haven't challenged them to make dietary changes first. But far too often, I'm seeing people continue down the same road toward diabetes, continuing to eat poorly and hoping that their medication will eventually reverse their condition.

Well the bad news is, medication for blood sugar control isn't even primarily designed to deal with the disease itself, just the symptoms. And even those can get worse over time - worsened blood sugar control, diabetic neuropathy, even blindness. Let's just take a minute and realize that there are good alternatives to this path.

If you have Type 2 diabetes and can change your diet, chances are you'll see good results. Get the mycotoxins out, and get the vegetables, berries, lean proteins, and good fats in.

Next, look at simple supplements like cinnamon and chromium picolinate. I just read a newspaper article where the health columnist was raving about how many people were writing to him about the blood sugar control they're getting from cinnamon. Studies are being published about this common spice reducing fasting blood glucose by as much as 30%. It's also shown to have great antifungal properties.

But why not combine cinnamon with the gold standard blood sugar nutrient, chromium picolinate? Chromium pic helps insulin work better, which means better control of your blood sugar.

If you're starting to feel nerve pain from diabetes, you could also add the super antioxidant, alpha lipoic acid. This is being shown to help not only with blood sugar, but some of the complications that often come with Type 2 diabetes.

To learn about a great cinnamon/chromium combination, along with information about adding alpha lipoic acid, just give me a call or visit the links provided to web pages for more information.
