HGH - What Is It?

Young at Heart, Skin and Muscle

What is apparent in this 21st century is the increased desire to live longer, which can depend on an individual's heredity, environment and lifestyle. Some of these factors we have control over, some we don't. Trained medical professionals have stressed the need for a well balanced diet and exercise, add to that a positive attitude to reduce stress and you have a formula for good health. Easier said than done.

Aging in itself can be defeating no matter how dedicated your health regimen. Scientists became curious about the effects of aging, and started looking at affecting the pituitary gland, which secretes the hormones responsible for cell growth and bodily functions. Human Growth Hormone (HGH), is the most abundant hormone secreted by the pituitary gland and is responsible for all adolescent growth peaks. It is abundant in our youth, but when a person ages, the pituitary gland produces less and less HGH which regulates levels of estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, melatonin and DHEA. The release of HGH drops by 80% from age 20 to 60. HGH regulates the release of all other hormone levels within the body, which also decrease with age.

For over 40 years, growth hormones have been tested and studied, and at one point the only access to the hormone was taking it from the pituitary gland of cadavers. This early use of the human growth hormone was mainly used as injections to stimulate growth in underdeveloped children.

In 1990, Dr. Daniel Rudman, from the College of Medicine in Wisconsin, conducted a test study of 12 healthy males administered with a biosynthetic human growth hormone. After six months, his results were:

  • Lean body mass increased an average of 8.8%
  • Fat mass decreased an average of 14.4%
  • Skin thickened by 7.1%
  • Bone density increased by 1.6%
  • Liver grew by 19%
  • Spleen grew by 17%

Dr. Rudman may have slammed a few doors on the skepticism of human growth hormones enough to make the FDA sit up and take notice. In 1996, the FDA approved HGH Therapy for use in adults, and has recognized Human Growth Hormone Deficiency as a syndrome with specific characteristic signs and symptoms.

With the surge of public awareness of antiaging supplements, came the need to produce a supplement that was readily available to the public, not to mention
bioavailable in the body. Old rats, with low growth hormone secretions, were used in an experiment by William Sonntag, professor of physiology, along with his colleagues at Bowman Gray School of Medicine in Winston Salem, NC. The pituitary gland of the old rats, when calories were restricted, was stimulated, secreting an increased amount of growth hormone again after a period of two months. It was concluded that the use of specific amino acids in combination with certain nutrients, and the timing of supplementation resulted in perfect utilization.

BioActive Nutrients carries two forms of this amino acid based HGH - a powder and capsule. This is not actual Human Growth Hormone, but a precursor that stimulates the pituitary gland to release more. The amino acids in the HGH Release powder and capsules are stacked and combined with other nutrients to ensure the most effectiveness in the body's natural secretion of HGH. Each one is just as effective as the other in fighting the effects of aging. Studies show HGH surpasses all other hormones in preventing biological aging and may reverse the biological clock by 20 years or more.

HGH affects nearly every cell in the body helping to regenerate skin, hair, muscle, heart, bones, liver, kidneys, and lungs to youthful levels. The immune system may be revitalized. Osteoporosis can be prevented, and heart attack and stroke risk factors are diminished. Emphysema patients may also benefit from HGH because it improves their oxygen uptake.

HGH has been proven safe, with no known side effects - and affordable! We guarantee our quality to be the best - at less than half the price of our competition.
