What is the function of ATP in the cell?
Our bodies produce ribose from glucose, and use it uniquely for the revitalization
of the molecule ATP (adenosine triphosphate), the chemical form of energy. Without ribose to provide and sustain
ATP, every cell and tissue in the body would deteriorate. Unfortunately, the body can not acquire enough ribose
due to poor natural sources in the diet, and also does not store ribose efficiently enough to keep ATP levels high
and breakdown of bodily processes low.
