The PIONAIR™ generates air-purifying technology that migrates through the area and neutralizes organic odors, microbes, and molds at their source. As a result, the PIONAIR™ produces fresh clean air throughout your home or office uniformly, by addressing the pollutant source - without the use of fans, filters, or plates.

The SMART POINTE contains a sensor that monitors the balance in the electrical charge of the area being treated. When the treated area becomes balanced (the number of negative and positive ions are equal), the sensor automatically deactivates active ionization until more negative ions are needed. This prevents dust, smoke, and other particulate from adhering to (and discoloring) walls and other surface areas.

The challenge with most air filters or purifiers is that air must be drawn to the unit, either through natural air flow, or through the use of a fan. This method results in uneven treatment and can leave pockets of polluted air, plus fans are noisy, subject to failure, and require higher levels of electricity.

The lamp modules are interchangeable, giving you flexibility to use the system in various locations. There are no moving parts or filters to clean, and the system is as quiet as a light bulb!

How the PIONAIR SMART POINTE Works

The new SMART POINTE system uses the same photocatalysis technology as the standard PIONAIR system, but also generates active negative ions. The SMART POINTE generates negative ions much faster, which means there are more negative ions in the air to attach to the positively-charged particulate in the air. Because most allergens - such as pollen, pet dander, dust, dust mites, and smoke - are particulate, SMART POINTE units are especially effective at relieving allergy symptoms sooner, while remaining equally effective against mold, bacteria, and normal household odors.

For optimum treatment, we recommend that you replace your module after approximately one year of continuous use. Replacement modules are interchangeable, giving you flexibility to use the system in various locations.

Lamp Module Replacement

First, unplug the unit. Pull the lamp module from the top of the unit. If it will not dislodge, simply insert a flathead screwdriver into the opening (small hole just above the power cord on the back of the unit) and push up. The lamp will eject from the top of the unit. Carefully remove the old module and insert the new module into the top slot of the base unit.

Do not unscrew the back of the unit.
